The new model ERiS2-R
replaces the Eris1R monitor.

The Eris1R is a handheld, compact and lightweight radiation monitor to detect and measure Gamma and X-Rays radiation up to 100 mSv/h, and with an energy range of 40 KeV to 1.3 MeV.

The Eris1R has three measuring modes: the Rate mode to measure the dose rate, the Hold mode to freeze the maximum value of dose rate, and finally, the Dose mode to display the value of the accumulated dose and the accumulation time. Dose and time are stored in the non-volatile memory.

The Eris1R is very easy to use. Its sophisticated firmware calculates the average dose rate of the last seconds correcting the dead time of the detector. This reading is very stable, but it is automatically updated when the radiation field varies more than three times the standard deviation of the previous reading. This does the monitor has a fast response time and stable readings.

The dose rate and accumulated dose have alarm threshold values, that can be set by the user and stored in the non-volatile memory. In case the dose rate or the accumulated dose is above its alarm threshold value, an alarm message will be displayed. Besides, the monitor displays a warning message if the battery level is low, if the detector fails or if the reading is out of range (overflown).

The Eris1R monitor is supplied with a transport case with strap, the user’s manual and a certificate with the results of measures after the calibration (related to Cs137).
