The RM1001-RD radiation monitor of LAMSE has taken part in a study published by the "International Journal of Cancer Therapy and Oncology", to determine the dose rate recieved by public in corridor at Hospital and non-radioactive patiens in adjacent room from I-131 administered isolated patients. The RM1001-RD is a modern and easy-to-use portable radiation monitor. The auto-range analogic scale in microsievert per hour (µSv/h) shows an easy-to-read measure and the digital display shows an accurate measure. The monitor also calculates the accumulated dose (µSv) and stores the value in the non-volatile memory. The alarm thresholds and the calibration factor can be set by the user and they are stored in the non-volatile memory.

An averaging function softens the readout and maintains fast response time. The monitor automatically changes the scale, indicates the used scale (x1, x10, x100, x1000), and alarms in any case of detector failure, low battery, overflow, and when the dose rate threshold or the accumulated dose threshold are exceeded.

There are three models: with an internal gamma/X-rays detector, with an external gamma/X-rays probe (mod. RD1L), and with a beta/gamma/X-rays probe (mod. RD2L). The RD2L model has an open window that allows detect beta radiation.

The RM1001 is supplied with external power supply adapter, operating manual and radiological certificate with several measuring points and ranges.
